This term Year 5 are studying the work of Paul Klee in Art Club and will be using a variety of different medium to create their own representations of his work.

Autumn Term 2018 - Year 2 Art Club

During the Autumn Term, the children have been learning all about Abstract Art in Art Club.

Abstract Art doesn't show pictures of things, but uses colours, lines and shapes to express how the artist is feeling.

We have studied Piet Mondrian, a dutch painter who became interested in abstract art and liked to paint using the primary colours with black lines and white spaces.

The children have created their own masterpieces, based on his work.

KS1 Film Club

KS1 Film Club 1

Film Club has enjoyed an array of films including The Red Balloon, Gruffallo's Child, Two by Two and The Tigger Movie. We not only watch film ........... we discuss the films we watch, recreate scenes using plasticine, review films and have "whatever happens next" sessions. Films have been linked to our SEAL themes. The Tigger Movie has led to discussion and further work on friendship - getting on and falling out.

LEGO Club Year 3 and Year 4

LEGO Club Year 3 and Year 4 1

Children have all sorts of theories about how the world works. What they don’t always have is the ability and tools to help them express these thoughts – or the opportunity to be able to reflect upon the world around them.

With BuildToExpress, students use LEGO® bricks to model their ideas and thoughts. The materials, coupled with the process and activities, enable every student to be heard and communicate as equals – providing an extremely motivating way to communicate and learn from one another.
