Game-makers

The children have used a variety of different apps and programs during the course of this topic. First they used Scratch and made their own sprites and racing track for a racing game, they then instructed the sprites to race around the track. Next they used Sketch Nation to design a game for a friend. They had to decide on the type of game they were going to make, the age range it was suitable for and the scoring system involved, ensuring it had a hard and an easy level so that it was accessible for all.

2017-18 Using Scratch, we created multiple sprites with a partner. We designed racing tracks and instructed the cars to race around the track.

We used a notebook and Microsoft Word to type up our stories which we wrote, edited and published in our English lesson.
