Ash Wednesday

Our first topic in RE is 'Ourselves' (created in the image and likeness of God) 

We will be exploring a  deepening awareness of ‘Who I am’.

Children will identify their unique qualities and talents and describe how they can use these to support others. Children will also identify the qualities and talents that other people have.

Y5 children today learnt  about the Sacrement of Marriage .

Our focus in Collective Worship today was 'Faith' we shared our thoughts about how our faith helps us through difficult times.

Our focus in Collective Worship today was 'Love' we can be more loving at home by helping our parents. We can be more loving in school by listening to our friends and helping them when they are struggling. We can show love in our community by donating old clothes, toys and money to the people who need it!

Ash Wednesday, we received ashes to mark the beginning of Lent.

We visited the Cathedral with Mrs Barnes and Mrs Green. We got to see the small altars and with our clipboards were able to take notes after being shown around by the tour guide.

Father Stephen visited our class and taught us about the Sacrament of Marriage ...
