To teach the children following whole school approaches and marking and feedback policy.
To use new technologies as an integral part of learning provision.
To ensure standards of Religious Education, English and Maths are consistently in line in foundation subjects.
 

Personal Qualities

An understanding of safeguarding practice and procedure. 
A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and a commitment to the highest standards of care, teaching and learning.
Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice.
Knowledge and understanding of pupil progression across key stages of education.
Understanding of professional responsibility in relation to school policies and practices.

Attendance Officer

 

We are excited to be able to offer an Attendance Officer’s post at St Gregory’s Primary School.  

 

Job Title: Attendance Officer 

Contract Type: Temporary, Term Time Only, 24 Hours a week (to be arranged with successful candidate) 

Grade 7 (SCP 21 – 25) 

Actual Salary: £20,542.03 - £22,537.787 - pay award pending. (3.3%)  

Full Time Equivalent: 0.6 

Start Date: 1st September 2026 

 

We are currently looking to recruit an Attendance Officer to join our inspirational and supportive team at St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School. 

 

To lead the school’s strategic approach to attendance by identifying and removing barriers to school entry for all pupils, analyse data to identify trends and work in partnership with families and external agencies to implement supportive interventions. You will champion a culture of attendance as safeguarding, ensuring that persistent or severe absence is met with an integrated support plan that prioritises the welfare and academic success of the child. Please see the job description for further information.
