Design Technology

Welcome to our Design Technology page!

"Creativity takes courage."

Design and Technology in primary schools develops children’s skills and knowledge in design, structures, mechanisms, electrical control and a range of materials, including food. It encourages children's creativity and encourages them to think about important issues.

STEAM Afternoon Activities

The children took part in a variety of activities, such as:

Binary code candy canes, assembling snowball catapults, taking part in gumdrop challenges to build the tallest chimney for Santa and construct different shaped presents. They also had to build the tallest tree using a given number of plastic cups, construct the longest paper chain out of a single piece of paper and hold reindeer races! A good time was had by all.
